Supranature is informed Richard's video and film practice and addresses the multi faceted relationships between ideas of technology, nature and their representation.

The images in the series utilise everyday objects and locations to address the prevalence of these questions and each image captures and juxtaposes heterogenous speeds of existence within it's single frame. As stated the series has a reciprocal relationship with his video work, fed by constant research and location visit. One strong facet of this series is the artificially altered sense of nature in which we exist - the sense of what is produced by the coexistence and cross pollination of the man made and the natural. Also the hubris that we have somehow exceeded nature and all the fantasies of mastery that this entails.
