ONGOING SERIES 2012 -
The first steps in a roaming project exploring the relevance of traditional folk customs and culture within an increasingly digitized western society.
This journey begins with this series of photographs, captured in an orchard outside Bristol in January 2012, they depict a Wassail – a traditional rite which consists of cider soaked toast being offered as a libation to the trees in a prayer for plenitude and gunfire and drumming to drive evil spirits away.
At the time of writing I do not know where this project will go and I ask you to follow me on this journey.
All images are captured digitally and are available in edition runs of 6, please contact FracturedEther for more information regarding exact media, dimensions and exhibition.
