biography

richard-broomhall Born in Berkeley, UK. Richard gained his BA (hons) from UCA Maidstone in 2004 and his MFA from Bath Spa in 2006.

To complete his education he has worked for Artists Clio Barnard and Damien Hirst.

His practice encompasses moving image, audio and photography. His work is held in study collections and has been screened and installed at festivals, galleries, museums and on television across Europe, including: The Animal Gaze, Trampoline: The Surveillance City, Visions in the Nunnery, The Compass of Resistance film festival, Antlers Gallery and was featured on Nasjonalgalleriet (TV) on NRK, Norway, in their best video art on the web section.

He has produced commissions for Jamiaca Street Artists open studios and is an Artist member of the RWA. He lives and works in Bristol and is currently based at Spike Island, his work will feature as a part of their 2012 annual open studios.
